Hollywood came to Barrow County in 2019 and used the Historic Courthouse and the Quality Foods (among other places) prominently in the HBO limited series The Outsider. Barrow County is an active member of the Camera Ready Georgia program.

- Carl House: Beautifully restored antebellum home serves as special events location for weddings, etc. Chef on site for special occasions and
meal preparation. - Golf courses: Four distinctly different golf course locations: Chateau Elan in Braselton, The Georgia Club in Statham, The Chimney's Golf Course in Winder, and Pine Hills Golf Club in Winder.
- Shackelford Park: Shackelford Park in Auburn has canopy of trees interspersed with nature trails.
- Old Railroad Depot: Old railroad depot in Winder was restored several years ago complete with railroad train engine housed on the grounds.
